) their work-ethic 2) their effort toward physical fitness (not "thin-ness", but fitness) 3) their effort toward pleasing their partner sexually 4) their ability to want to make other people realize and develop their strengths, rather than bully them to "make them get things done" 5) adventurousness for the sake of developing themselves and their partners...and, ultimately, their children 6) a sense of curiosity and inventiveness that keeps life fun and surprising...and doesn't fade after the teen years into "a life of obligations" .........just to name a few 7) ability to appreciate non-material things...and make rather than buy things, and spend quality time with people rather than just handing them un-original, often expensive, gifts 8) to laugh and empathize about challenges rather than whine about them...to realize a sense of humor can make a destructive situation feel at least somewhat constructive
